from the desk of Acting Governor CSP February.17.2021
Friends, The growth of our fledgling community is so exciting. As a result of our investment in stamp recruiting and already established personal relationships, our region is home to more than twenty nations. Our Discord server is starting to become a lively place to connect with each other. Perhaps most importantly, applications for Freeman status have picked up quite a bit in the last few days. I am personally very gratified by it and I thank you. Our regional culture will be influenced in large part by our personal experiences, surely. It will be influenced by necessity as well. And then there will be elements that are all our own, coming about solely because of this gathering of individuals in this place and time. I think our regional flag should be one of those unique things so today I am opening a contest to establish our regional flag! Historically, the English and British Union flags flew over Plymouth Colony for obvious reasons. In 1629, the Plymouth Colony adopted a seal that featured a shield with a Saint George's cross on it, in between the arms of which is a scene repeated four times of a human figure on one knee holding up something in offering (sometimes described as a heart or as a flame) between two trees. My submission will rely on the seal but you should feel encouraged to use your imagination! Submissions will be accepted from all Residents and Freemen over the next two weeks. Please post your comments and submissions below. I look forward to seeing your designs and hearing about the inspiration behind them. Warmly,

Couldn't decide whether the green or the red was better so I'll drop both of them here lol The Green represents the new beginning that this region has. The Red represents the passion and willingness the members of this region possess. The sixteen lines are made to resemble a compass, which represents the many directions this region can potentially take. (Originally, it was supposed to be twenty lines to represent the first 20 countries but I couldn't find nor create one) The circle connecting the lines and surrounding the seals represent the strength we have, together as one. And the minimalistic design of the lines and circle represents that the potential that this region has and can use to innovate and develop to a be a powerful region. This was pretty fun and I'm looking forward to seeing some other designs!

The ship flag is by far the standout. It gives a great nautical vibe which embodies the region.

I may come up with some more ideas. But I will post this one for now. It would represent the ship being lead to shore by a seagull, as the sun rises on the New World.
